STEM and Digital Skills

Blacks are woefully underrepresented in STEM fields. Consequentively, it is FIST's key objective to undertake programmings to increase STEM awareness and interest in Black communities in Alberta.

Children and youth from black communities need support to be active participants of the 4th Industrial Revolution. FIST has a key objective to organize age-appropriate coding classes for black children and youth to develop their interest in programming, data analytics, and artificial intelligence.
