Foundation for Inclusion and Societal Transformation (FIST) has organized free soccer training sessions for children of immigrants in Edmonton. In alignment with FIST mission to foster social inclusion and development, such training sessions offer opportunities to children from low income families who struggle to pay for such extra curricular activties.
FIST has begun a research study to investigate the effect of clear-cut harvest and wildfires on forest carbon. Led by FIST Executive Director, Dr. Richard Osei, the project affords early career Black Scientists the opportunity to learn advanced research methods as they contribute to nature-based climate mitigation.
